Senior Analyst- Global Logistics

Global Logistics is responsible for the compliant, secure and efficient movement of import merchandise from international strategic sourcing locations to Walmart retail markets worldwide
The team is responsible for using global leverage to optimize the import supply chain to ensure capacity and service delivered at Every Day Low Cost to support the company’s growth.
Core functions within Global Logistics include the management of global contract, strategic relationships and service execution with international logistics providers.
The team partners with suppliers and internal supply chain stakeholders to design and deliver Global Logistics solutions across all product categories, creating global leverage that enables merchant strategies for all retail markets worldwide
Primary Purpose of Position-
Responsible for the execution of Global Logistics strategies and tailored retail market logistics solutions (eg. airfreight administration, container utilization and document management, etc.) through partnerships with internal supply chain stakeholders, external service providers and suppliers for specific retail markets to enable the flow of import merchandise
Supports resource planning and development of internal operating procedures
Supports performance management of internal teams and suppliers to ensure compliance to Walmart requirements to enable capacity, service and Every Day Low Cost.
Contributes towards an environment where associates respect and integrate company standards of integrity and ethics into all practices.
Responsible for airfreight administration, resolution of Supplier payment exceptions and conducts document verification to ensure Supplier compliance with standard operating procedures and to drive continuous service improvements
Drives efficient container utilization, improve on-time shipment and arrivals, special program implementation and tracking.
Support supplier development activities
Supports management in workload planning, allocation and productivity improvements
Executes logistics business plans and projects
Demonstrates up-to-date expertise in Global Logistics and applies it to daily routines
Supports Global Logistics principles on capacity, service and EDLC
Provides management visibility on key metrics, shipment data, and corresponding analysis
Lives up to company cultures and standards of ethics
Handles daily document verification for assigned retail markets
Supports development and maintenance of standard operating procedures
Handles daily operations and exceptions (e.g. container utilization, documentation management, airfreight administration, supplier payment) to ensure productivity, quality and compliance with standard operating procedures and shipping guidelines
Drives supplier performance to ensure compliance
Handles air freight origin administrations
Prepares and provides accurate reporting on key metrics
Conducts business analysis and reports the findings to management
Supports management in workload planning, allocation and productivity improvements
Handles ad hoc assignments and projects
GS Sourcing, Supply Solutions – Develop and implement logistics solutions and/or Document Compliance Projects to enable EDLC
GS Functional Teams – Partnership on Finance, Systems requirements
Global Logistics team in Hub and Home Office – exception management, process improvement
Retail Market Direct Imports, Logistics & Account Payables teams – Support flow of merchandise through logistics and document compliance, resolve escalated exceptions, identify global leverage to drive EDLC
Key Suppliers and Factories – address related inquiries and drive supplier compliance
Requirement-
Required Experience- 5years to 8 years
Proven competence on execution / planning / analysis etc.
Good knowledge of supply chain logistics and related fields
Good communication and presentation skills in English
High sense of urgency and responsibility
High standards in personal and professional integrity
Project management experience
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications
