As a Senior Data Architect, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing data platforms on AWS, transitioning legacy systems to scalable cloud-native architectures using technologies like Apache Iceberg, AWS Glue, Redshift, and Atlan for governance.Key responsibilities include designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows on AWS, migrating legacy data solutions to modern services, implementing and managing data lake architecture using Apache Iceberg and AWS Glue, working with Redshift for data warehousing solutions, applying data quality and observability practices, ensuring data governance and metadata management, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver robust data solutions, building scalable secure and high-performing data platforms, and participating in defining and enforcing data engineering best practices.Design and optimize data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows on AWSMigrate legacy data solutions to modern servicesImplement and manage data lake architecture using Apache Iceberg and AWS GlueWork with Redshift for data warehousing solutions including performance tuning and modelingApply data quality and observability practicesEnsure data governance and metadata managementCollaborate with stakeholders to deliver robust data solutionsRequired Skills and Qualifications:8+ years of experience in data engineering and data pipeline developmentStrong expertise with AWS services especially Redshift Glue S3 and AthenaProven experience with Apache Iceberg or similar open table formatsExperience with legacy tools like Siebel Talend and InformaticaKnowledge of data governance tools like Atlan Collibra or AlationExperience implementing data quality checks using Soda or equivalentStrong SQL and Python skills familiarity with Spark is a plusSolid understanding of data modeling data warehousing and big data architecturesStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in an Agile environmentExpertise in Databricks including designing and optimizing workflows within the Databricks environment
