Job Description:Role Summary:The HBM Operator will be responsible for operating, setting, and maintaining the Horizontal Boring Machine to perform machining tasks such as boring, milling, drilling, and facing on heavy components. The role requires strong technical skills, precision, and understanding of machining drawings.Key Responsibilities:Operate and set up the Horizontal Boring Machine (HBM).Read and interpret engineering drawings, measurements, and machining tolerances.Perform boring, drilling, milling, and facing operations on heavy components.Ensure proper alignment and clamping of workpieces.Select appropriate tools, speeds, and feeds for machining operations.Inspect machined parts using Vernier, Micrometer, and other measuring tools.Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure safe working practices.Maintain production records and meet quality standards.Coordinate with the production and QC teams as required.Skills Required:Hands-on experience with Horizontal Boring Machines.Ability to read machining drawings and interpret dimensions.Knowledge of cutting tools, machine parameters, and machining processes.Proficiency in measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Dial Gauge, etc.).Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
