Job Opportunity: Cloud Infrastructure SpecialistThe EDP Data Platform is seeking an experienced professional to join their team as a Cloud Engineer.This role will involve working with stakeholders to design, build, and maintain the EDP application platform in the cloud. The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting solutions that support clients' internal data teams to onboard and provision data in the Data Cloud.The platform will utilize Micro Services Architecture to support various workloads such as data marts, data warehouses, and AI/ML applications. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and drive them to completion.We are looking for a highly motivated individual with 4+ years of experience in developing enterprise-level applications. A degree in computer science/engineering or related field is required. The ideal candidate will possess superior analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and good communication skills for client interaction. Additionally, they should have experience designing, implementing, and testing Python applications with understanding of object-oriented programming, multi-tier architecture, parallel/multi-threaded programming.Knowledge of modern cloud-native data warehouses such as AWS Redshift, Snowflake, or Azure Synapse Analytics is also essential. Experience implementing metadata solutions leveraging AWS non-relational data solutions like ElastiCache and DynamoDB is preferred.A Bachelor's/Master's degree in computer science/engineering, operations research, or related analytics areas and 4+ years of experience in enterprise application development, preferably in Life Insurance but not mandatory.
