Risk Management SpecialistAbout the Role:You will leverage creative thinking to develop best-in-class risk strategies supporting client business. These strategies will address credit & fraud risk, customer experience, marketing verticals and beyond.Your role will enable us to stay aligned with market trends improving turnaround time for developing risk strategies, enabling quicker iterations and broader coverage through scientific methods. Core KPIs include additional revenue generated and costs saved from releases. This role also supports compliance, documentation and knowledge sharing in risk strategies.Key Responsibilities:Develop, validate and deploy risk management strategies using sophisticated data analytics and domain expertiseExtract and explore data, validate data integrity, perform ad hoc analysis and evaluate new data sources for usage in strategy developmentMaintain robust documentation of approach and techniques used including objectives, assumptions, performance, weaknesses and limitationsBe ready to adapt to new tools/libraries/technologies/platformsPartner with engineers to validate and deploy scalable solutionsCollaborate to gather insight from partners across organizationFurther develop expertise in data science and engineering through self-study, project exposure and guidance of senior team membersRequired Skills and Qualifications:Degree in quantitative field such as computer science, data science, engineering, economics or mathematics. Advanced degree preferred3+ years of Data Science experience2+ years in financial servicesExperience building and implementing risk strategies in productionDeep understanding of segmentation techniques such as decision treesExperience in banking sector with exposure to risk management analyticsProficient in PythonProficient in SQLPractical experience using Spark is a plusUnderstanding of statistical modeling techniques is a plusTechnical understanding of algorithm complexity, probability & statisticsSelf-driven with aptitude for independent research & problem-solvingAbility to multi-task in fast-paced environment is essential
