Job Title:Marine Safety and Security SpecialistJob Description:As a Marine Safety and Security Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, security, and cybersecurity of our vessels. You will be responsible for monitoring and implementing policies and procedures to prevent pollution and ensure compliance with relevant international regulations.You will work closely with top management and have direct access to them. Your duties will include:Complying with IMS and all relevant international rules and regulations;Ensuring all your duties are carried out in accordance with quality, health, safety, environmental, cybersecurity, and ethics policies;Proposing a continuous performance improvement plan which will be reported and reviewed on a periodic basis.You will also be responsible for:Keeping the ISM certification of the company up-to-date for each assigned flag;Planning, implementing, and following up internal audits for head-office, subsidiaries, and agencies;Analyzing reports issued on dedicated software;Participating in the Emergency Response Team as per Group organization;Monitoring KPIs for your vessels;Ensuring trainings of shore and ship staff;Managing your team.Required Skills and Qualifications:The ideal candidate should have:A strong background in health, safety, and environment culture;Internal auditor training;DPA/CSO training;Previous experience as a Marine Safety Officer;Maritime background is preferred.Personal Attributes:We are looking for someone who is:Effective in verbal, written, and presentation skills;Ability to work both independently and in a team-based environment;Team spirit,Communication skills,Management skills
