Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Aerodynamics Simulation Specialist to support our team in conducting high-fidelity aerodynamic simulations and analysis.The ideal candidate will work closely with our engineering team to set up, run, and validate complex CFD cases involving external aerodynamics of wings, airfoils, and aircraft configurations.Perform CFD simulations using OpenFOAM for external aerodynamic applications (airfoils, wings, aircraft geometries).Generate structured and unstructured meshes using blockMesh and snappyHexMesh.Set up incompressible and compressible flow solvers, boundary conditions, and turbulence models.Conduct mesh independence studies, simulation validation, and result verification.Extract and analyze aerodynamic performance metrics such as lift coefficient (CL), drag coefficient (CD), pressure distributions, and flow visualization.Post-process results using ParaView or similar tools.Collaborate with engineering teams to design, optimize, and evaluate aerodynamic concepts.Document simulations, results, and workflow methodologies.Required Skills and QualificationsProficiency in OpenFOAM and ability to set up and run complex CFD cases.Experience with mesh generation tools such as blockMesh and snappyHexMesh.Strong understanding of fluid dynamics and aerodynamics principles.Ability to analyze and interpret complex data sets.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.BenefitsAs an Aerodynamics Simulation Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and contribute to the development of innovative solutions.
