About the RoleThe Lead Shopify POS UI Developer will be responsible for designing, developing and leading the delivery of Shopify POS UI Extensions across multiple retail use cases. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in React, TypeScript, GraphQL/REST and experience with Shopify POS UI Extensions.This role involves designing and developing modern POS experiences, upgrading and migrating older POS UI extension versions to the newest APIs & components, handling breaking changes and rollout strategy.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop modern POS experiences using React, TypeScript, and native POS UI Extension components.Upgrade and migrate older POS UI extension versions to the newest APIs & components, handling breaking changes and rollout strategy.The successful candidate will also have experience with integrating Shopify Admin APIs (GraphQL/REST), Webhooks, App Bridge, and optional Remix/Node.js services.Additionally, they should have skills in CI/CD pipelines, feature flags, rollback strategies, and multi-environment workflows (dev/QA/stage/prod).Mandatory Requirements8+ years overall IT experience.3+ years direct experience in Shopify POS / E-commerce for large retail organizations (>$500M revenue).3–5 years hands-on experience with:Shopify POS UI ExtensionsShopify App BridgeShopify Admin APIs (REST & GraphQL)
