Key ResponsibilitiesDefine and execute a data strategy that aligns with business objectives and future growth needs.Design, architect, and implement cloud-based Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and Data Lakehouses using modern technologies such as Snowflake and Databricks.Lead the modernization of data platforms by leveraging frameworks like Apache Spark for batch and streaming data pipelines.Develop scalable, reliable, and high-performance data ingestion, transformation, orchestration, and automation (ETL/ELT) frameworks, including real-time streaming ingestion pipelines.Establish robust data governance, metadata management, data cataloging, data lineage, and quality standards across the enterprise data ecosystem.Collaborate with stakeholders, analytics/BI teams, data engineers, and data scientists to deliver data solutions that meet enterprise needs.Provide technical leadership, mentor data engineering teams, and drive best practices to ensure maintainability of the data platform.Stay up-to-date with emerging data technologies and industry trends, recommending improvements to continuously evolve the data platform.Required Skills & Experience12–15 years of overall IT experience, with at least 8+ years in a senior data-platform architect role.Proven experience designing and implementing large-scale Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and Data Lakehouses.Strong expertise in Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, cloud-native storage, and services.Deep proficiency in Apache Spark, data ingestion frameworks, ETL/ELT workflows, and orchestration.Programming skills in Python for data engineering, automation, custom transformations, and scripting.Strong knowledge of data modeling, schema design, relational and non-relational data stores, query optimization, and performance tuning.Experience with real-time streaming and event-driven data frameworks, such as message queues and event hubs.Solid understanding of cloud-native data ecosystems, preferably Azure or AWS/GCP.Experience establishing and enforcing data governance, data cataloging, metadata management, security, and compliance best practices.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, cross-functional collaboration, and leadership skills.Education & BackgroundBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.Proven track record of designing and delivering large-scale data architecture solutions in enterprise environments.
