This role ensures optimal performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with all regulatory requirements while managing capital and operational expenditures.Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical ManagementOversee MEP systems design, installation, and commissioning for new construction and renovation projectsDevelop and implement preventive maintenance programs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systemsConduct regular system performance assessments and energy auditsManage building automation systems (BAS) and implement smart building technologiesEnsure compliance with local codes, OSHA standards, and environmental regulationsProject ManagementLead MEP-related capital improvement projects from conception to completionCoordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and vendorsDevelop project scopes, budgets, and timelinesReview and approve technical drawings, specifications, and change ordersMonitor project progress and ensure quality control standardsOperations & MaintenanceDevelop and manage annual MEP budgets and capital expenditure plansOversee maintenance contracts and vendor relationshipsImplement energy conservation initiatives and sustainability programsTroubleshoot complex system failures and coordinate emergency repairsMaintain accurate documentation of all MEP systems and modificationsTeam LeadershipSupervise MEP technicians, engineers, and maintenance staffProvide technical training and professional development opportunitiesEstablish performance metrics and conduct regular team evaluationsFoster a culture of safety and continuous improvementRequired QualificationsEducation & CertificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil EngineeringProfessional Engineer (PE) license preferredLEED AP certification preferredCertified Energy Manager (CEM) or similar energy credentials a plusExperience7+ years of MEP systems experience in commercial real estate3+ years in management or supervisory roleExperience with building automation systems and energy managementProject management experience with budgets exceeding $1MTechnical SkillsProficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design softwareKnowledge of building codes (IBC, NEC, NFPA, ASHRAE standards)Understanding of energy modeling and commissioning processesFamiliarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)Core CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesExcellent communication and presentation skillsLeadership and team management capabilitiesBudget management and cost control expertiseVendor negotiation and contract management skillsPhysical RequirementsAbility to work in various environments including mechanical rooms, rooftops, and construction sitesCapability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionallyComfortable working at heights and in confined spaces when necessaryTravel RequirementsTravel to multiple properties within assigned portfolio (up to 25%)Occasional evening and weekend availability for emergency situationsJLL is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodations to individuals with disabilities.If this job description resonates with you, we encourage you to apply even if you don't meet all of the requirements below.
