Remote applicants will not be considered. Summary of the Staff Scrum MasterThe person in this role will act as Scrum Master for 2-3 teams and will promote Agile development practices and work across multiple stakeholders to identify and remove impediments.  We need Scrum Masters with a strong vision for creating the best workplace possible. The ideal candidate will be passionate about getting the best out of individuals and teams through the power of self-organization. Responsibilities for the Staff Scrum MasterServe as subject matter expert on software development methods and processesEnable the Scrum teams to perform at the highest level by instilling Scrum values, coaching the team, removing impediments, and protecting the team from disruptionOrganize and facilitate team backlog management, daily scrum (standups), sprint reviews, retrospectives, demos, and other Scrum-related eventsMonitor, record, and communicate assigned team(s) KPIs/Metrics and ensure transparency regarding team achievements across internal stakeholdersIdentify and communicate impediments to team achievement to leadership while working to remove any barriers to deliver on committed workAssist Product Owner as needed with backlog maintenance, internal and external communication, improving transparency, and disseminating informationShare Agile knowledge and best practices across the organization to maximize Scrum team performance and effectivenessCoach teams, individuals, and the organization in collaboration, transparency, iteration and be customer focusedCreate high-performing, self-organized teams that can't wait to get to work each dayChallenge assumptions about how we work together and how we develop our product and collaborate with us to find a better wayBuild consensus through collaboration and influences without authorityHelp to evolve a culture of high performance and innovation that allows people to thrive Cultivate a culture of learning and a thirst to learn faster than our competitorsQualifications of the Staff Scrum Master     Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or equivalent 3+ years of working on a scrum team as a contributor (Developer, Product Owner, QA Engineer)2 years as a Scrum MasterExperience in coaching an organization at any level through the transition from waterfall to an agile frameworkExperience working in an environment where an agile framework was applied at scaleExperience in a variety of Software Development Life Cycles (waterfall, iterative and agile)Attainment of one or more agile-related, scrum master focused certifications:Scrum Alliance: Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Advanced CSM, Certified Scrum Professional (CSP-SM)Professional Scrum Master (PSM I-III)Certified Scrum Coach (CSC), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)Experience with Atlassian tools, including JIRA and Confluence, preferredExperience with Microsoft Azure DevOps, preferredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities of the Staff Scrum MasterProficiency in Agile methods, including Scrum and KanbanComfortable with the implementation and execution of Scrum in an environment where individuals are unfamiliar or uncomfortable with the methodology.Able to apply various techniques to ensure effective meetings both co-located and distributedStrong leadership skills and a history of leading through influence. Ability to work with diverse personality types.Collaborative approach to decision-making on teams.Ability to work under limited supervision.Ability to help existing leadership understand their changing roleQualifacts is an equal opportunity employer.
