About the RoleThis position plays a crucial role in driving business growth and profitability through effective cost management.Key Responsibilities:Transition of BU level costing activities to finance teamsResponsible for product costing activities performed within the ERP system (SAP) for markets with centralized costingEstablish process for analysis of variances (Price & Factory) and provide business insights including actionable items to reduce variances compared to established standardsProvide support and guidance for inventory valuation, including calculation of capitalized variances and stock provisionsPrincipal Accountabilities and Key Activities:Single point contact for SAP product costingIndependently handle entire product costing activities on SAP, including regular review of materials pending for cost release and liaison with markets for timely update of standard costsEnd-to-end support for the release of standard costs following established group methodology for standard cost calculationOperational Analysis:Analyze procurement transactions and identify the cause for price varianceReview exceptions and abnormal variances and liaison with markets to take corrective actionFactory variance analysis and consolidationMonth Close Activities:Review of gross stocks and reports providing value of gross stock based on group accounting policyCalculate variance to be calculated based on group policiesAdherence to standard methodology for calculation of provisions and bring improvements in process as requiredTo succeed in this role, you should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and collaboration abilities, and a deep understanding of financial systems and processes. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented and organized individual who can work independently and as part of a team to drive results.
