**Job Title:** Backend Engineering InternWe are building an AI-native execution layer for ERP systems. Our product combines an AI co-pilot with a deep integration engine to automate procurement and supply-chain tasks end-to-end.We require a skilled backend engineer to build reliable, scalable systems and support basic AI request-processing in our multi-user platform.This role focuses mainly on backend engineering, with light AI interaction (sending queries, processing responses, storing context).**Key Responsibilities Include:**Building backend APIs and services for multi-user applications.Implementing user and session management, authentication and authorization.Creating endpoints that interact with AI models and process responses.Integrating vector databases for basic search and retrieval.Building microservices and containerizing them with Docker.Supporting real-time workflows using event-driven architecture.Working with SAP integration experts to connect backend with SAP APIs and IDocs.Participating in system design discussions and delivering POCs.**Required Skills and Qualifications**Strong Python or Java backend development skills.Experience building APIs using FastAPI, Flask, or Spring Boot.Understanding of authentication (JWT, OAuth2, sessions).Experience with Docker and microservices.Basic knowledge of how to interact with LLMs via API calls.Basic vector database experience (storing and querying embeddings).Understanding of transformers at a conceptual level.
