Position: Backend Developer

Location: Remote


Job Overview


Database management

To create, and maintain databases that store application data. They ensure that data is organized and easily accessible. Hands on experience in PHP Laravel framework version 10, PHP version 9, SOAP API, REST API and CMS


Server handling

To configure and maintain servers to ensure they run efficiently and can handle increased traffic. Experience on Load balance and fault tolerance, CDN, Inline caching and elastic search


Security

To implement security protocols to protect data from cyber threats. They monitor the database for errors and look for weaknesses in apps. 


Programming

 Use programming languages to create or change code that runs on the webserver. 

Client Side Programming : HTML, CSS and Bootstrap

Server Side Programming: JavaScript, TypeScript, Docker, Containers and Video Processing


Performance optimization

To optimize the speed and performance of websites or applications. 


Technical support

To maintain workflows with client teams, providing support, training, and mentorship. 


Bug fixing

To monitor for issues or bugs and respond promptly to resolve them. Experience in Unit testing, Integration testing and UAT etc..



Responsibilities


Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust server-side applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness. Experience from business model to logical architecture component of the system, Caching management and Inline caching / Memcaching.

Nginx Configuration & Optimization: Configure, monitor, and optimize Nginx for improved load handling, response times, and performance.

Caching Management: Implement and maintain effective caching strategies (such as Redis, Memcached) to reduce load times and optimize resource use.

API Integration: Build and maintain APIs, working closely with frontend developers to ensure seamless data communication.

Database Management: Design, manage, and optimize databases (MySQL) to support scalable applications and data security.

Security Compliance: Implement secure coding practices and perform regular security checks to protect user data and privacy.

Testing & Debugging: Conduct unit and integration testing to identify issues and implement efficient solutions.

Documentation: Write and maintain technical documentation for backend processes and systems.



Qualifications


Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Backend Developer.

Technical Skills:

Strong proficiency in backend languages such as PHP (Laravel) and Node.js.

Expertise in Nginx configuration and optimization.

Experience with caching mechanisms such as Redis or Memcached to enhance application performance.

Proficiency in Relationship Database Management ( MySQL, SQL, Oracle)

Familiarity in Server Management ( DNS Server, Web Server, Nginx, Reverse Proxy Server, Mail Server, IS Management, File System Management)

Frameworks: Familiarity with backend frameworks, particularly Laravel framework, Node js, Architecture Structure

Version Control: Proficient in Git for version control and collaboration.

Security Standards: Knowledge of best practices in data security, especially within cloud environments (experience with Azure Cloud is a must).

Messaging like Trello

Communication: Strong communication skills to work within a collaborative environment.



Preferred Skills


Experience with cloud platforms, especially Azure, and familiarity with partitioned environments for development and operations.

Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
