Academic Assessment SpecialistThis role plays a pivotal part in ensuring learners receive high-quality assessment, guidance, and academic support throughout their studies.Mark student assignments against Level 5 and Level 7 academic standards to ensure accuracy and fairness.Provide clear, constructive feedback on student submissions, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement.Offer ongoing academic support by regularly checking in with students to monitor progress and address concerns.Maintain accurate records of student marks, progress, feedback, and interactions to ensure transparency and accountability.Ensure all assessments align with course outcomes and academic requirements, maintaining the highest standards of quality.Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall student learning experience, sharing best practices and expertise.Manage workload efficiently to ensure timely completion of marking and communication with students.Issue certificates of achievement to eligible students upon completion of their courses.Please note that the following skills are essential for this position:A minimum of a Master's degree in one of the following fields: Economics, Financial Trading, Finance, or closely related areas.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.Demonstrated ability to produce clear, structured, and supportive academic feedback, with a focus on development and growth.Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.Comfortable working independently, with the ability to manage time effectively and maintain motivation.High attention to detail, with a commitment to academic quality and excellence.The desirable skills include:A PhD or advanced academic qualification in a relevant discipline, demonstrating expertise and leadership.Practical trading experience, with a strong understanding of financial markets and instruments.Previous experience in assessing or marking academic work, providing academic support or tutoring, or working with professional or higher-education programmes at Level 5 and/or Level 7, showcasing a proven track record of success.
