Position: Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Cochin

Experience Level: 2~3 years


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using sheet metal and plastic materials.
  • Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including industrial designers and manufacturing engineers, to ensure designs meet functional and aesthetic requirements.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and simulations to validate design concepts and optimize performance.
  • Develop and maintain design documentation, including BOMs, technical specifications, and assembly instructions.
  • Work closely with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure design manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to improve product quality and reliability.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 2~3 years of experience in mechanical design with a focus on sheet metal and plastic components.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or Creo.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and tolerances for sheet metal and plastic parts.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to present ideas effectively.
