The International Solar Alliance (ISA) is an international organization based in Gurgaon, in the National Capital Region of India. Its vision and mission are to create a dedicated platform for cooperation among solar resource-rich countries. The ISA facilitates collaboration among the global community—including bilateral and multilateral organizations, corporations, industries, and other stakeholders—to support the common goal of increasing the use of solar energy. This initiative aims to help ISA member states meet their energy needs in a safe, convenient, affordable, equitable, and sustainable manner.
Your New Role
A vacancy has arisen for a Program Analyst (Governance Events) to join our dynamic global secretariat and help advance our country partnerships through effective governance event practices, realizing our strategic vision for a just energy transition. This role reports to the Chief of the Governance Unit and will lead various tasks, including Assembly and Regional Governance engagements, country partnerships, and membership expansion efforts for the ISA. You will also manage the logistical and administrative procedures necessary for the effective coordination of events related to these activities.
In this role, you will support the operationalization of the country partnership framework. As a highly experienced professional, you will work closely with the Chief of the Unit on a day-to-day basis, delivering strategies that shape and implement the unit’s work plan. This involves consistently meeting our governance event needs to ensure that governance activities fully support ISA member state engagements.
Your Broader Scope of Work (but not limited to)
The Officer will support the deliverables of the Governance and Partnerships unit at the ISA. This includes assistance with governance body meetings and ISA events, including international events. Responsibilities will involve preparation of the agenda, coordination support, and development of working documents, briefing notes, and background information in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
The Officer will also support outreach, communication, and other activities with representatives from member and non-member countries, partners, corporate stakeholders, and other relevant entities.
Your Broader Role Responsibilities
- Play a lead role in the successful conduction of the ISA Governance body meetings through (including, but not limited to), leading logistics & communication support, brief(s)/talking points, background notes, agenda notes, draft letters, presentations, talking points, a database of member/prospective member countries & partner/other organisations, and the preparation of meeting summaries and reports.
- Assist, Organize and coordinate Governance Body meetings, including but not limited to, logistics & communication support, brief & talking points, background notes, agenda notes, draft letters, presentations, talking points, database of member/prospective member countries & partner/other organizations, and preparation of meeting detailed and summary reports.
- Support the ISA’s strategic international engagements and technical sessions/webinars including, but not limited to, logistical support, summary reports of meetings, communication material such as agenda, background notes, etc.
- Provide Administrative support with the operationalisation of the Country Partnership Framework of ISA encompassing, inter alia, liaising with international/local stakeholders, readiness assessment of member countries, development of the implementation strategy, and annual work plan.
- Liaise with the ISA member and prospective member countries including potential donor countries for ISA programmes, activities, and initiatives.
- Support the development and implementation of partnership approaches to engaging national-level stakeholders (the agreement) on Country Partnership Framework(s) in the ISA member countries.
- Support the Chief of the unit and or the Supervisor on any other matter relevant to the business unit.
- Documentation and coordination support for events including CoP, technical sessions, and webinars with partner organizations and relevant stakeholders.
What you will need to Succeed
Education:
- A Master’s degree in law/economics/political sciences/social sciences/business administration
- A bachelors degree with an additional 3 years of professional experience may also be considered
Professional Experience
At least 5 to 7 years of experience in governance, and broad government-partnership(s)
Proven experience in implementing strategy for government, public-sector bodies, and multilateral intuitions.
Proven experience of dealing with complex environments and delivering under tight timelines
Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, energetic and collaborative
Languages
Fluency in English (both oral and written) is required.

This role will be based out of the Secretariat of the ISA, Gurgaon, Haryana State, India
