Head of HR

Ciklum is looking for a Head of HR to join our team full-time in India. We are a custom product engineering company that supports both multinational organizations and scaling startups to solve their most complex business challenges. About the role: As a Head of HR, you will lead the HR function for the India organisation, managing a team of four HR professionals and driving all aspects of the HR lifecycle. You will act as a strategic partner to business leaders while ensuring operational excellence, legal compliance, and alignment with Ciklum’s global HR strategy. The role also includes leading HR integration for newly acquired companies in India to align people, processes, and policies. This position requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution with strong expertise in Indian labor law, employee relations, and people development. Together, we will work on initiatives supporting Ciklum’s rapidly scaling India operations and ensuring seamless HR experiences across all stages of the employee lifecycle. Responsibilities: Serve as the primary HR point of contact for India leadership Drive and execute HR initiatives aligned with global strategy and local business needs Partner with global HR and CoE teams to adapt global programs to the Indian context Oversee the entire employee lifecycle in India: onboarding, development, engagement, retention, and offboarding Ensure smooth onboarding and integration of new hires Manage exit processes and provide insights to improve employee experience Lead payroll, HR administration, and benefits vendor management, ensuring high-quality service delivery Advise managers on employee relations, disciplinary processes, and conflict resolution Ensure compliance with Indian labor laws, employment regulations, and company HR policies Keep updated on legislative changes and ensure policies and practices reflect them Drive the annual merit and promotion cycles, ensuring fairness and transparency Provide guidance on compensation practices, benchmarking, and salary structures Manage local benefits programs and recommend improvements aligned with employee needs and market best practices Support performance management process Champion employee engagement, wellbeing, and recognition initiatives in India Organize local engagement activities and cultural programs Act as a role model in fostering a positive, inclusive workplace culture Support career growth and learning initiatives for employees Maintain accurate HR records in compliance with data privacy standards Provide HR analytics and insights to support decision-making Requirements: 7–10 years of progressive HR experience, including leadership of HR teams Strong knowledge of Indian labor law and HR compliance regulations Proven experience across the full HR cycle: performance, development, engagement, compensation, and compliance Hands-on experience in payroll and benefits administration Fluent English, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving abilities Ability to work both strategically and operationally in a fast-paced, multinational environment What’s in it for you?
