Bring passion and dedication to your job and there's no telling what you could accomplishDescriptionThe Database Engineering team under Data Services at Apple is responsible for providing Engineering Solutions to a large fleet of critical databases. The Data Services team is looking for candidates who will provide architecture and design solutions for multiple database technologies with expertise in Graph database and will be in charge of fast-paced, sophisticated distributed database environments. This position demands the most promising Database engineers Join us, and help build and run database platforms that deliver Apple services to all of its customers around the world and build the Apple experience on a global scale.We are Apple's Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) division, and our teams are based primarily in Sunnyvale, California with teams in Austin (TX), Seattle, Bangalore and Hyderabad India - working globally.Minimum Qualifications- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, or JavaScript) for data integration and application development;- Experience with graph database platforms such as TigerGraph, Neo4j, Amazon Neptune, JanusGraph, or ArangoDB;- Solid grasp of data modeling concepts, graph theory basics, and relationship driven architectures;- Familiarity with ETL processes, API integrations, or data ingestion frameworks;- Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and handled graph database offerings;- Understanding of RDF, SPARQL, or semantic web technologies;- Exposure to big data ecosystems (Spark, Kafka) for graph data processing;- Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD workflows;- Ability to handle the databases deployed in Cloud Infrastructure including AWS/GCP and Kubernetes.Preferred Qualifications- BE/B.Tech or ME/M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field practical experience;- 8+ years of hands-on database engineering experience, with at least 5 years working directly with graph databases;- Strong proficiency in at least one graph query language: such as Cypher, Gremlin, GSQL;- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA);- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate;- Python and Shell/bash knowledge.
