Company: Nebula Tech Solutions Client: US-based eCommerce Company Location: Remote (India) Experience: 3+ years About the Role As a Database Reliability Engineer (DRE) , you’ll work with other engineers to develop data platform capabilities that enable the storage and management of data for use in transactional and analytical applications. To be successful in this role, you should be passionate about distributed data storage systems in the cloud, with hands-on experience across both relational (SQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases. Key Responsibilities Design, build, and operate cloud-based, scalable, and highly available database systems. Partner with engineering and operations teams to ensure reliability, performance, and data integrity. Automate database provisioning, configuration, and management using Infrastructure-as-Code tools. Monitor and optimize database performance, ensuring efficient query execution and resource utilization. Support production operations, troubleshoot issues, and drive post-incident improvements. Required Skills & Experience 3+ years of experience as a DBA, DBE, or DRE in production environments. Experience with RDBMS such as MSSQL, PostgreSQL, or MySQL. Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB, Redis, or MongoDB. Strong experience operating databases in AWS (RDS, EC2, S3, IAM, etc.). Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible . Solid understanding of distributed data systems, performance tuning, and backup/recovery strategies. Preferred Qualifications Experience in building monitoring and alerting for data systems. Exposure to large-scale, multi-region cloud environments. Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or similar).
