Role & responsibilities
1. Plan and agree Anti-Falsified Medicines priorities (i.e. market monitoring, online enforcement, customs enforcement, criminal enforcement, civil enforcement), maintain visibility of Anti-Falsified Medicines investigations. Responsible for the delivery and implementation of the objectives and deliverables toward the Anti-Falsified Medicines roadmap.
2. Provide legal support for brand protection in the fight against counterfeits for multiple product categories.
3. Make recommendations for stakeholders across the business, on issues related to brand protection.
4. Handle investigative agencies and outside counsel on litigation; focus on brand protection, IP, customs. Authenticate products as part of investigations, criminal raids, custom seizures, etc.
5. Review, triage and investigate (risk-based) lines of inquiry from multiple sources (e.g. both from internal/external stakeholders) into incidents of falsification of products. Timely reporting of such incidents as per company SOPs.
6. Ensure overall consistency on the enforcement of anti-falsified medicines operations with external stakeholders (Police, Customs, Municipality, Health authorities) undertaken. Ensure that an effective collaboration takes place, for each enforcement case, with the key internal business stakeholders.
In addition, the position is responsible for development and maintenance of the program budget, collaboration with business partners to insure implementation of business plan tactics. Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather intelligence re illicit trade, Communications development and execution of ongoing internal and external communications to protect stakeholders, create deterrence, awareness and drive compliance. Examples may include training programs targeting the Sales and Marketing organization, external communications to distributors, pharmacies regulatory authorities, customs etc., and other stakeholders. The role will also be responsible for leading communications internally to senior leaders and other stakeholders internally as well as externally
Preferred candidate profile
- Familiarity with relevant competent authorities and Anti-Falsified Medicines industry associations.
- Understanding of the regional pharmaceutical market and of any healthcare laws and compliance standards for relevant markets
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strategic mind-set with the ability to simultaneously coordinate several projects, investigations and enforcement operations involving a multitude of internal and external stakeholders. Interpersonal skills to persuade, influence and adapt communication style to different situations and individuals.
- Knowledge and Hands on Experience of Corporate Fraud Investigations & Interrogation Techniques.
