Software Engineer LeadAbout the RoleYou will be a key member of our CRM Integration team, responsible for driving initiatives to integrate Chargebee with leading CRM platforms seamlessly. Additionally, you will own and evolve the current CRM integration solutions to ensure that Chargebee customers experience smooth and scalable integration.In this role, you would partner with Product Management, Customer Success, Support, Cloud Infrastructure, and other cross-functional teams to deliver integrations that strengthen Chargebee's position as the preferred subscription billing solution for enterprises.Participate and contribute in cross-functional forums, making opinionated decisions on integration architecture choices to ensure reliability and scalability.Lead the ideation, design, and development of CRM integration applications/services with a focus on data accuracy, security, and governance.Author and maintain technical documents, API specs, and implementation guides, ensuring clarity for engineering and solution consulting teams.Collaborate closely with product managers to design, build robust CRM connectors.Write hands-on code to build frameworks or middleware that facilitate integrations.Actively maintain functional and non-functional quality through automated tests, data validation checks, and API automation specific to integrations.Own integration quality by performing effective code reviews and proactively identifying issues in data sync or API consumption.Troubleshoot and resolve customer-reported issues with urgency and clarity.Mentor & coach engineers on best practices for building scalable integrations.Champion adoption of Agile practices within the team.Engage with managed service partners to ensure high-quality integration delivery, SLA adherence, and support coverage.RequirementsMust Have7 - 10 years of proven experience in building distributed systems to handle high throughput, low latency, and event-driven architecture.Strong knowledge of Java, Distributed Systems, SQL, and NoSQL databases, and an understanding of JavaScript frameworks like Vue, React, or Angular.Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, Webhooks, GraphQL, and data synchronization patterns.Experience working on large-scale systems in the Cloud.Experience creating/supporting production-grade systems with proven ability to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks.Strong debugging skills with tools such as Postman, Datadog, and Splunk.Excellent communication skills — ability to simplify complex integration scenarios for both technical and business stakeholders.Effective team player with experience mentoring and guiding junior engineers.Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA/Confluence.Nice to HavesDesirable SkillsExperience building and managing enterprise-grade integrations is an advantage.Prior work experience in Husbpot or Salesforce CRM is an advantage.AWS / Azure architect certifications.Education and ExperienceB.E. / B.Tech or higher with years of engineering experience, currently serving as a Lead engineer.
