Job Description: SAP FICO Implementation Consultant

The role of an SAP FICO Implementation Consultant involves configuring, customizing, and supporting SAP Financial Accounting and Controlling modules to meet the financial and business needs of the organization. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conduct detailed requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to understand business needs related to finance and controlling processes.
  • Design, configure, and customize SAP FICO modules, including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting (AA), and Cost Center Accounting (CCA).
  • Develop and document functional specifications for technical enhancements such as reports, interfaces, conversions, and forms (RICEFW).
  • Collaborate with ABAP developers to ensure technical requirements are aligned with business processes.
  • Integrate FICO with other SAP modules such as MM, SD, and PP to enable seamless end-to-end processes.
  • Perform data migration activities, including mapping, validation, and upload of master and transactional data using tools like LSMW or BAPIs.
  • Configure and troubleshoot bank accounting processes, including payment programs and electronic bank statements.
  • Support the implementation of taxation and legal compliance requirements in different geographies.
  • Conduct unit testing, integration testing, and assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) for FICO-related developments.
  • Provide post-implementation support to resolve issues, optimize performance, and implement enhancements.
  • Train end-users and prepare user manuals to ensure smooth adoption of the SAP FICO system.
  • Analyze and resolve system performance issues related to financial transactions and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and audit requirements using SAP tools.
  • Stay updated on SAP FICO innovations and advise clients on potential improvements and upgrades (e.g., S/4HANA Finance).
  • Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of project milestones within the defined scope and budget.
