We are looking for a highly skilled and dynamic Head of Airfreight Pricing to lead our pricing strategies processes in the freight logistics sector. This leadership role is key to optimizing our operational efficiency and ensuring our pricing strategies are competitive, profitable, and aligned with market trends. The Head of Pricing will oversee both the strategic direction of pricing models and the day-to-day logistics operations, driving performance improvements across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pricing Strategy and Management:
  • Develop and implement robust pricing strategies across all freight logistics services to maximize profitability while maintaining market competitiveness.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and customer demand to adjust pricing models accordingly.
  • Design dynamic pricing models tailored to different customer segments and freight types (e.g., air, sea, road).
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Business Development teams to create pricing proposals for key clients, ensuring alignment with company goals.
  • Operational Leadership:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the freight logistics business, ensuring seamless coordination between pricing, logistics, and customer service teams.
  • Ensure that pricing structures are aligned with operational capabilities and cost structures.
  • Streamline and optimize logistics processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service delivery.
  • Implement best practices in supply chain management to drive operational excellence across freight transport, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Cost Management and Profitability:
  • Continuously monitor operational costs, identifying areas for cost reduction without compromising on service quality or customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and manage operational KPIs to track performance, improve efficiency, and meet profitability targets.
  • Ensure pricing decisions are informed by the company's cost structures, market conditions, and operational capacity.
  • Collaboration and Cross-Functional Leadership:
  • Work closely with the Sales, Customer Service, and Operations teams to align pricing and operational objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to drive company-wide initiatives that impact both pricing strategies and operational improvements.
  • Provide guidance to the operations team to ensure timely execution of pricing strategies and optimal service delivery.
  • Forecasting, Reporting, and Analysis:
  • Develop pricing forecasts and provide regular reports on pricing performance, including trends, profitability, and market conditions.
  • Lead regular operational reviews to ensure alignment with financial goals and operational KPIs.
  • Provide insights to the executive team to support data-driven decision-making and long-term strategy planning.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team in both pricing and logistics operations, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture.
  • Mentor team members to enhance their skills in pricing, logistics, and operational efficiency.
