Position Overview:
As a Sales Development Representative , you will be on the front lines of our sales process. Your primary role is to find and qualify leads, engage with prospects, and set up meetings for the sales team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or advance their career in sales, especially in the technology sector. You’ll play a critical role in driving the growth of Total Shift Left by identifying and cultivating relationships with decision-makers at potential client companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Generation: Research and identify target companies and key decision-makers within those organizations that could benefit from our testing services.
- Outreach: Perform cold calls, send personalized emails, and leverage social media (LinkedIn, etc.) to connect with potential clients and qualify them as leads.
- Prospect Qualification: Engage with prospects to understand their challenges, needs, and potential fit for our services.
- Appointment Setting: Schedule discovery calls or meetings for Account Executives to discuss how Total Shift Left’s solutions can address their business challenges.
- CRM Management: Maintain accurate records of all lead and prospect interactions in the CRM (e.g., HubSpot or Salesforce).
- Market Research: Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor offerings, and potential opportunities in the testing and quality assurance market.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to ensure alignment on outreach strategies and prospect targeting.
- Feedback: Provide valuable insights on prospect pain points and market needs to help refine our service offerings and messaging.
Requirements:
- Experience: 1-3 years in sales or customer-facing roles, preferably in B2B technology or SaaS environments. Experience in the software testing or tech services industry is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Comfortable conducting cold outreach and engaging in meaningful conversations with prospects.
- Tech-Savvy: Basic understanding of Software Development, Quality Assurance, or DevOps processes is a bonus.
- Driven & Results-Oriented: A self-starter with a strong desire to meet and exceed performance targets.
- Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and technical experts.
- CRM Experience: Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to manage leads and track outreach.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in sales development or lead generation roles within the technology sector.
- Familiarity with testing and quality assurance services or similar technical services.
- Knowledge of sales techniques like MEDDIC, Value Selling, consultative selling or SPIN.
