Job Role:Support the transition of reporting data sources from Teradata to BigQuery.Update and validate existing Power BI reports to conform with new BigQuery data models.Design and create novel tables, views, and queries in BigQuery to support repointed reports.Verify data integrity and performance equivalence post-transition via thorough quality assurance validation.Collaborate closely with the business intelligence and infrastructure teams to optimize data pipelines and ensure seamless integration.Identify and resolve issues associated with query performance, access permissions, or connectivity.We are looking for a skilled developer who can collaborate effectively with our data and reporting teams to ensure smooth update and validation of Power BI reports.The ideal candidate should have at least 5-10 years of experience in GCP and possess expertise in BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Teradata, SQL, and Power BI.Key ResponsibilitiesMigrate and manage large datasets between Teradata and BigQuery.Enhance and refine Power BI reports to align with newly designed BigQuery data structures.Develop innovative solutions for data visualization and analytics in BigQuery.Conduct thorough testing to ensure data accuracy and system performance after migration.Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to improve overall system efficiency and scalability.Required SkillsStrong expertise in BigQuery, including data modeling, querying, and optimization.Experience with Cloud Storage and its applications in big data processing.Familiarity with Teradata and its role in enterprise data management.Proficiency in SQL and ability to write efficient queries.Excellent knowledge of Power BI and its use cases.
