Job SummaryA skilled Database Architect is needed to lead our database team, overseeing the design and implementation of database systems. This individual will ensure data integrity, security, and optimal performance.About the RoleDevelop database systems meeting business requirements and industry best practices.Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, and other techniques for efficient data access and system response times.Implement and maintain data security measures, including access controls and regular security audits.Develop and maintain database backup and disaster recovery plans ensuring data availability and integrity.Monitor database systems for performance issues, proactively identifying and resolving problems to minimize downtime and maintain system reliability.Collaborate with data engineers and software developers to integrate database solutions with data pipelines and software applications.Mentor junior database administrators providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of learning and collaboration within the team.Stay current on emerging database technologies, trends, and best practices identifying opportunities for their application within our data infrastructure.RequirementsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.8-10 years of experience in database administration roles with a strong understanding of relational and NoSQL database systems.Expert knowledge of database management systems including MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Microsoft SQL Server.Strong SQL and query tuning skills experience with database optimization techniques.Strong understanding of data security and privacy best practices and regulations including GDPR and CCPA.Experience with database backup and disaster recovery planning and implementation.Familiarity with cloud-based database services such as AWS RDS or Azure SQL Database.Excellent problem-solving analytical and critical thinking skills.Outstanding communication and leadership abilities.BenefitsOpportunity to work with a dynamic team of professionals.Competitive salary and benefits package.Professional development and growth opportunities.What We OfferWe offer a collaborative and inclusive work environment that values diversity, equity, and inclusion.
