Database Management Specialist RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Database Management Specialist to oversee the management of our Oracle database infrastructure.The ideal candidate will have expertise in installing, configuring, patching, and upgrading Oracle databases from 11g to 19c.They must be able to monitor database performance, optimize queries using AWR/ADDM reports, and manage backups, recovery, and cloning with RMAN.A strong understanding of RAC, ASM, and Data Guard setups is essential for this role.The successful candidate will be responsible for handling user management, roles, and database security, as well as providing 24x7 production support on a rotational basis.Additionally, they will be required to automate DBA tasks using Shell or PL/SQL scripts and maintain accurate documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards.This role demands a deep understanding of Oracle databases and strong technical skills. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team to ensure seamless operation of our database infrastructure.Responsibilities:Database Administration:Install, configure, patch, and upgrade Oracle databases (11g–19c).Monitor database performance and optimize queries using AWR/ADDM reports.Manage backups, recovery, and cloning with RMAN.Implement and maintain RAC, ASM, and Data Guard setups.User Management and Security:Handle user management, roles, and database security.Production Support:Provide 24x7 production support (on rotation).Automation and Documentation:Automate DBA tasks using Shell or PL/SQL scripts.Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with standards.
