We are seeking a skilled and driven Fixed Income Portfolio Manager. As a student intern, you will be responsible for various tasks including fixed income analysis and valuation, quantitative financial modelling, debt market and credit research, and technology and automation in finance.Fixed Income Analysis & Valuation:• Calculate Yield to Maturity (YTM) and assess returns on different types of fixed-income securities. This includes determining the present value of securities and assessing market pricing strategies.• Compare investment options such as corporate bonds, fixed deposits, and mutual funds based on their characteristics and features.Quantitative & AI-based Financial Modelling:• Develop financial models in Excel, Python, or R to assess risk and return metrics. This includes creating models that can simulate different scenarios and forecast outcomes.• Implement AI-driven approaches for analyzing credit risk and probability of default. This involves using machine learning algorithms to analyze large datasets and identify patterns.• Work on Value at Risk (VaR) simulations and machine learning models for risk assessment. This includes developing models that can accurately predict potential losses.Debt Market & Credit Research:• Analyze corporate bond spreads, relative valuations, and structured finance instruments. This includes researching and evaluating the creditworthiness of companies and governments.• Conduct data cleaning and visualization for sovereign credit research and CDS time series data. This involves working with large datasets and presenting findings in a clear and concise manner.• Assist in the structuring and evaluation of project finance and asset-backed securities. This includes working with stakeholders to develop and implement financing solutions.Technology & Automation in Finance:• Understand Microsoft Excel AI tools for financial modelling. This includes learning how to use AI-powered tools to automate tasks and improve model accuracy.• Develop and test AI models for credit derivatives and portfolio risk assessment. This involves creating models that can accurately assess credit risk and identify potential areas of concern.• Work on FinTech tools like Virtual Risk Analyser and Virtual Portfolio Analyser. This includes developing and implementing new features and functionality.
