Job OverviewThe Assistant Manager Construction Accounting plays a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the financial accounting functions within the organization. This position requires a deep understanding of construction accounting principles, financial management, and compliance.The ideal candidate will have worked in construction accounting/contractor accounting, with knowledge of the % completion method of accounting and experience working on project profitability.Responsibilities include all aspects of the accounting operations and cash management, including periodic financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and comprehensive controls and budgets.Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions, reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts, and coordinate construction draw processes.Manage yearly audits and tax compliance, establish internal controls to safeguard company assets, and participate in cash management and forecasting.Provide management with vital information for decision-making and oversee the use of Yardi property and accounting software.Requirements include a CA/CPA certification, 2-3 years of experience in real estate/construction, strong organizational skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and computer proficiency in Yardi or similar systems.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting OperationsFinancial Statement PreparationTransaction Recording and ReconciliationAudit and Compliance ManagementSoftware ProficiencyQualificationsCA/CPA Certification2-3 Years of Experience in Real Estate/ConstructionStrong Organizational SkillsExcellent Communication and Interpersonal SkillsComputer Proficiency in Yardi or Similar Systems
