The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in automation tools, frameworks, scripting, and continuous integration, with a passion for improving software quality and delivery efficiency. This role requires a strong understanding of testing principles, software development lifecycles, and best practices in QA automation.RequirementsKey Responsibilities: Test Automation Strategy: Design and implement scalable and maintainable automation frameworks to support regression, functional, integration, and performance testing. Automation Framework Development: Build, enhance, and maintain automation scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, TestNG, or JUnit. CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Bamboo, or Azure DevOps) to enable continuous testing. Test Planning & Execution: Develop test plans, create reusable scripts, and execute automated test cases across different platforms, browsers, and devices. Defect Management: Identify, log, and track software defects to closure, collaborating closely with development teams to ensure timely fixes and quality releases. Performance & API Testing: Leverage automation for performance validation and API testing using tools like Postman, Rest Assured, JMeter, or K6. Best Practices & Standards: Define and enforce QA automation best practices, coding standards, and documentation for long-term maintainability. Collaboration & Mentorship: Partner with cross-functional teams—developers, product managers, and manual testers—to align testing objectives with business goals. Mentor junior team members and drive automation adoption across teams. Tool Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend new automation tools, technologies, and approaches to improve efficiency and coverage. Reporting & Analytics: Generate detailed test reports, analyze automation results, and provide insights into quality trends and risk areas. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 7–20 years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on test automation. Hands-on expertise in automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Appium, or similar frameworks. Proficiency in one or more programming/scripting languages: Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or TypeScript. Experience with test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr) and version control systems (Git, Bitbucket). Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and DevOps practices. Experience with API testing (Postman, Rest Assured) and performance testing (JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with a proactive, quality-first mindset. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in testing microservices, cloud-native applications, or enterprise systems. Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes. Exposure to AI/ML-driven test automation tools is an advantage. ISTQB or equivalent test automation certification preferred.
