Job Description: Procurement, Shipping & Logistics Lead

This role is responsible for leading and managing procurement, shipping, logistics operations, and service delivery, while driving continuous improvement, transformation, and capability building to support organizational objectives. The position involves close collaboration with internal stakeholders and external vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead a team of 5–6 members, mentor and coach for performance, and manage key stakeholders.
  • Shipping & Logistics: Manage Letters of Credit (At sight, Usance), BFC, CAD, TT payment processes, and import/export documentation (sea & air freight). Oversee shipment tracking, transportation, and reporting.
  • Procurement Operations: Oversee tactical procurement, vendor management, order processing, contract management, inventory management (MRP, JIT, VMI, ROP), and end-to-end Procure-to-Pay processes in SAP MM.
  • Vendor Management: Manage the vendor lifecycle including benchmarking, onboarding, audits, performance evaluation, and supplier relationship management. Drive improvements in supplier performance across cost, quality, and delivery.
  • Operations & Reporting: Monitor SLAs and KPIs for on-time delivery, service quality, and cost productivity. Develop dashboards and reports for performance tracking and decision-making.
  • Process Transition: Support knowledge transfer and seamless process transitions, ensuring standardization and efficiency.

Profile Requirements:

  • Experience: 10–15 years in Procurement & Logistics, Strategic Sourcing, and Vendor Management, preferably in Food & Agribusiness, FMCG, or related industries. At least 5 years in a managerial role with team leadership experience.
  • Expertise: Strong knowledge of SAP MM, import/export operations, shipment documentation, vendor coordination, and complex supply chains.
  • Skills: Strategic thinking, problem-solving, stakeholder management, people development, and communication. Ability to drive process improvements, manage costs, and deliver under pressure.
  • Education: Graduate/Postgraduate in any discipline; specialization in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related fields is preferred.
  • Other: Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel), strong analytical and project management skills, collaborative mindset, flexibility, and results orientation.
