Job Description and Requirements

We are seeking a talented R&D engineer, with expertise in computer science, scientific computing, software development, and software engineering, who will join the Synopsys TCAD team to develop infrastructure, new models and algorithms for fast and accurate simulations of nano-scale semiconductor devices, interconnects and circuits using C/C++.

Our Sentaurus line of products are used by semiconductor corporations, research institutions, and universities worldwide to design and simulate next generation semiconductor chips used in consumer products (phones, cameras, cars, etc.).

Primary responsibilities include the design and implementation of new models for future technology needs in nano-scale semiconductor devices, porting to latest compute platforms, performance optimization, and collaboration with application engineering team and cross-functional teams within the company.

You will be joining a high-performing and collaborative R&D culture with diverse expertise, experience and interests in engineering, physics, scientific computing, software development, software engineering, and will enjoy a creative and international work environment.

Requirements:

- MS or BSc in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering or Applied Mathematics with 3+ years' experience in developing large, complex engineering applications.
- Strong design/programming skills in C++ and Python.

Preferences: One or more of the following:

- Background in high performance algorithms and parallel programming (TBB, OpenMP, MPI, CUDA).
- Background in Python Bindings.
- Background in containerization.
- Background in build systems.
- Background in C++ package management (e.g. Conan)
