Principal Integration Engineer-Sovereign Cloud

About the Job:The Red Hat Ecosystems Engineering group is seeking a Principal Integration Engineer to join our rapidly growing team, focusing on the sovereign cloud project. In this role, you will be part of a team responsible for designing and implementing the container platform for enterprises and telecommunication companies and contributing to industry-leading technologies in the Kubernetes ecosystem. As a part of a geographically distributed team, you will collaborate with multiple Red Hat engineering teams and open source communities around the globe. To be successful in this role, you'll need to have motivation, curiosity, passion for problem-solving, and experience with Linux technologies and open source.What you will do?Play an active role applying Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift to customer use casesDevelop and integrate changes in multiple projects using open source methodologies to provide end-to-end solutionsTroubleshoot, analyze bug root causes, and provide resolutionsReview design, enhancement proposal, and patches from other team members and other collaboratorsWork with various engineering team to ensure products are developed and tested correctlyPublicize the team's work through blogs, web postings, or conference talksStay up-to-date on the latest advancements in AI frameworks, and leverage those in your day to day workProactively utilize AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) for code generation, auto-completion, and intelligent suggestions to accelerate development cycles and enhance code quality.What you will bring?8+ year of relevant technical experienceExpert level of experience with RHEL or other Linux distributionsExpert level of experience with KubernetesExperience with AI frameworks and toolingTechnical leadership acumen in a global team environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skills; fluent English language skillsThe following is considered a plus:Background in DevOps or site reliability engineering (SRE)Experience with performance analysis toolsExperience with Linux kernel developmentExperience with performance analysis tools.Relevant security certifications (CISSP, CSSLP, etc.).Experience with cloud security and DevSecOps practices.About Red HatRed Hatis the world's leading provider of enterpriseopen sourcesoftware solutions, using a community-powered approach to deliver high-performing Linux, cloud, container, and Kubernetes technologies.
