Could you be the full-time Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager in Bangalore we’re looking for?


Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your comprehensive EHS expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated and proactive teammates.

You'll champion our commitment to safety and environmental stewardship. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Project Management, HR, Medical Partners), oversee subcontractor activities for EHS compliance, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of conducting EHS Risk Assessments, crafting emergency plans, and ensuring the rigorous implementation of Alstom EHS standards. But also, you will be involved in building the project EHS communication plan and delivering a robust EHS training program.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Supporting Project Management in achieving outstanding EHS results
  • Ensuring control measures for EHS risks are effectively defined and implemented
  • Monitoring activities of subcontractors and maintaining control, particularly at interface points
  • Exercising your authority to halt operations in the event of immediate risk to people or the environment
  • Guiding and evaluating the EHS teams within the project
  • Facilitating communication with social and medical partners regarding EHS matters
  • Delivering EHS support during project execution and auditing EHS plan implementation

  • Degree in Environmental Science, Safety Management, or a related field
  • Experience or understanding of EHS regulations and risk management
  • Knowledge of industry best practices and standards
  • Familiarity with project management and oversight of subcontractors
  • A professional certification in EHS.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment
