Job Description:The job role of an environmental engineer involves the following duties:Carrying out site assessmentsConducting technical auditsEvaluating environmental impactMaking recommendations on clean-up, reclamation and waste management activitiesAssessing how a site complies with environmental regulationsUsing mathematical techniques and computer modelling to assess or forecast past, present and future environmental problemsDesigning, developing, testing and implementing technical solutions which will help organisations actively reduce their negative impact on the environmentInterpreting dataKeeping abreast of legislative changes in environmental lawIdentification and consideration of potential contaminant sourcesObtaining and maintaining plans, permits and standard operating proceduresEHS Roles and ResponsibilitiesTheir major role of EHS manager or office is to prevent and eliminate injury and sickness to the employees.
