Role : Python Developer (4-6+ years)Location: Chennai (Work from Office)Role OverviewWe are looking for a passionate Python Backend Developer with strong expertise in building scalable applications, designing robust APIs, and working with relational and NoSQL databases. You will be responsible for developing high-performance backend systems, integrating with front-end applications and external services, and ensuring reliability, security, and scalability in production environments.Key ResponsibilitiesBackend Development & System DesignDesign and build scalable backend applications using Python frameworks (FastAPI, Django, Flask).Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability.Implement efficient data storage solutions and integrate with relational/NoSQL databases.Database Management & OptimizationDesign and optimize database schemas for performance and scalability.Work with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or other database technologies.Ensure data integrity, availability, and robust data handling practices.Deployment & Continuous ImprovementDeploy backend services and APIs; containerize using Docker.Monitor application performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and optimize system health.Stay updated with backend technologies, cloud services, and best practices.Required Skills & ExperienceProficient in Python and backend frameworks (FastAPI, Django, Flask).Strong experience in RESTful API design and development.Hands-on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).Good understanding of scalable backend architectures and system design patterns.Comfortable with Git, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).Preferred / Bonus SkillsExperience with message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka).Knowledge of caching mechanisms (Redis, Memcached).Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.Experience with microservices architecture.Contributions to open-source projects.About the Company:Matrimony.com Ltd, a Great Place to Work Certified Wed-Tech company listed on the BSE and NSE, is a leader in matchmaking and wedding services.
