Location:Initial Base: HyderabadOnsite Assignment: Abu Dhabi (after initial period) Role: SME Lead – ROMeo (Process Simulation)Experience: 8 – 20 yearsBackground: Chemical EngineeringAbout the RoleWe are looking for a Subject Matter Expert (SME) Lead – Process Simulation (ROMeo) with strong chemical engineering fundamentals and deep experience in process simulations and hydrocarbon plant operations. The ideal candidate will lead simulation, RTO and APC-related activities and support optimisation of complex process units.Key ResponsibilitiesLead steady-state and dynamic simulations for hydrocarbon process units using ROMeo or similar toolsDevelop, validate and maintain simulation models for plant performance and optimisationSupport RTO (Real Time Optimization) and APC (Advanced Process Control) implementation and integration with plant DCS systemsCollaborate with operations, process and control teams to troubleshoot and improve plant performanceProvide technical guidance, mentoring and training to junior engineersRequired Skills & Experience8–20 years of total experience in the process / hydrocarbon industryStrong Chemical Engineering fundamentalsMinimum 5+ years of experience in process engineering, with at least 3+ years hands-on inSteady-state and/or dynamic process simulationsRemaining experience in hydrocarbon plant operations will be considered highly relevantProven experience with commercial RTO software (preferably ROMeo)Knowledge of APC implementation and control fundamentalsExperience in integrating RTO and APC with DCS systems such as Yokogawa, Honeywell, ABB, etc.Strong problem-solving, communication, interpersonal and team-leading skills
