Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy & Business Development

  • Develop and execute the sales strategy for the domestic solar EPC market, ensuring alignment with the organization’s growth objectives.
  • Identify and target key accounts, building long-term relationships to secure high-value projects.
  • Explore new market opportunities, monitor industry trends, and ensure competitiveness in the solar EPC domain.

Bidding Management

  • Lead the end-to-end bidding process, including preparation, submission, and negotiation of proposals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop competitive and compliant bid responses.
  • Ensure accurate cost estimation and risk assessment in all bids.
  • Track RFPs, RFQs, and tenders, ensuring timely and high-quality submissions.

Key Account Management

  • Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, government bodies, and industry partners.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for high-profile clients, ensuring satisfaction and alignment of expectations.
  • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts.

Team Leadership & Collaboration

  • Build and lead a high-performing sales and bidding team, ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and support to team members, fostering a culture of excellence.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, procurement, legal, and finance) to ensure smooth project execution and client satisfaction.

Revenue & Performance Management

  • Drive revenue growth by achieving or exceeding sales targets and maintaining profit margins.
  • Develop and manage the sales budget, forecasts, and reporting.
  • Monitor sales performance metrics, analyze trends, and implement corrective actions to achieve objectives.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related fields; MBA is preferred.
  • 20+ years of experience in sales and business development within the solar EPC or renewable energy sector
  • Proven track record of winning large-scale EPC projects through strategic bidding and key account management.
