Job Title: Senior Applied ScientistWe are seeking an accomplished Senior Applied Scientist to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative machine learning solutions. As a key member of our data science team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and deploying cutting-edge AI models that drive business growth and improvement.About the Role:Data Plumbing & Schemas: You will work on ingesting and modeling data from various sources such as Shopify, GA4, ESP, CRM, and ad platforms. This includes defining event taxonomy, identity graph, and data contracts to ensure seamless data flow.Feature Engineering: You will build offline and online features for prediction, propensity, and clustering. Your tasks will also include ensuring parity with feature stores (e.g., Feast) and model registries (e.g., MLflow).ML Pipeline & Training: You will set up reproducible training pipelines in Python/SQL/dbt, experiment tracking, hyperparameter search, and evaluation. This involves standing up ML pipelines that can be easily deployed and maintained.MLOps & Deployment: You will package models using Docker, deploy them to managed services (Vertex/SageMaker/Cloud Run), and wire CI/CD (GitHub Actions) and blue-green/rollback patterns.Orchestration: You will schedule jobs with Airflow/Prefect, manage dependencies, SLAs, retries, design backfills, and incremental loads.Observability: You will implement DQ checks (Great Expectations/dbt tests), model performance, drift monitoring, alerting, and cost guardrails.Activation & APIs: You will ship fast, robust services (FastAPI/Cloud Functions) to push signals into Meta CAPI, Google Ads (EC/OCI), TikTok Events API or via reverse ETL (Hightouch/Census).Experimentation & Measurement: You will partner with product/GTM on uplift tests, holdouts, and calibration to prove incremental value.Docs & Enablement: You will produce crisp runbooks, ERDs, and playbooks, teaching others to self-serve.Required Skills & Qualifications:Strong background in machine learning and deep learningExperience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS)Familiarity with MLOps tools (MLflow, Weights & Biases, Feast)Proficiency in programming languages (Python, SQL)Knowledge of orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect)Familiarity with data engineering conceptsBenefits:A competitive salary and benefits packageA dynamic and supportive work environmentOngoing training and professional development opportunitiesA chance to work on high-impact projects that drive business growthOthers:Please note that this job description is not exhaustive, and we may adjust it according to our business needs.
