Job Summary:
We are looking for an accomplished Deputy General Manager (DGM) or Assistant Vice President (AVP) in Finance & Accounts to manage and optimize our financial operations. This role requires expertise in accounts finalization, regulatory compliance, process control, and cross-border transactions. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in complex financial areas including M&A, cost control, and international accounting standards, as well as a hands-on approach to implementing process improvements and automation.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Finalization
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts finalization, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.
- Manage the closing process and ensure timely submission of financial statements for internal and external reporting.
Regulatory Compliance (IND AS / GST)
- Ensure compliance with IND AS and other accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Supervise GST compliance, including filing, reconciliation, and addressing queries related to tax regulations.
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) & Process Control / Automation
- Develop, implement, and maintain SOPs for finance and accounting processes to ensure efficient operations.
- Drive automation initiatives to enhance process efficiency and reduce manual interventions.
- Establish and monitor internal controls to mitigate financial and operational risks.
Banking & Credit Monitoring Arrangement (CMA)
- Manage banking relationships, including negotiations and arrangement of working capital requirements.
- Prepare and review CMA reports to support credit facilities and maintain optimal cash flow.
Costing, Purchase Costing & Cost Audit
- Conduct comprehensive costing analysis, including purchase costing, to support decision-making and ensure cost efficiency.
- Oversee cost audit processes and provide insights for effective cost control measures.
- Manage transfer pricing documentation and ensure compliance with local and international requirements.
Cross-Border Transactions and International Subsidiaries
- Oversee cross-border transactions, imports, and financial management of 100% international subsidiaries.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and accounting practices for seamless global operations.
Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) - Local & International
- Support M&A initiatives by conducting due diligence, financial analysis, and valuation for both domestic and international transactions.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to integrate acquisitions smoothly into the existing financial structure.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CA, CPA, or CMA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in finance and accounting, with a proven track record in roles of increasing responsibility.
- In-depth knowledge of IND AS, GST, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with SOP development, process automation, and internal controls.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in cost accounting, cross-border transactions, and M&A.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and financial software, with a focus on process automation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
