Enterprise z/OS Systems SpecialistWe are seeking a highly skilled system expert to join our team and take on the challenge of designing, implementing, and maintaining large-scale enterprise-level systems in IBM mainframe environments.Key Responsibilities:System Design, Development & DeploymentDesign, implement, and deploy z/OS and subsystems (JES2, RACF, CICS, DB2, IMS) that meet business needs.Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure seamless integration with existing systems.Performance Optimization & Capacity PlanningMonitor and optimize CPU, memory, and I/O performance to maximize system efficiency.Develop strategies for capacity planning and recommend hardware upgrades to meet growing demands.Security & Compliance GovernanceAdminister RACF and enforce security policies to protect sensitive data.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as SOX, PCI-DSS, HIPAA.Apply security patches and mitigate vulnerabilities to maintain a secure environment.Storage Management & Data RecoveryManage DFSMS, VSAM, HSM, and storage tools to optimize disk and tape storage usage.Oversee backups, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions to minimize downtime.Incident Management & TroubleshootingDiagnose and resolve system issues and abends to minimize impact on operations.Analyze dumps, logs, and traces to identify root causes and develop corrective actions.Collaborate with vendors and IBM support to resolve complex technical issues.Automation & Scripting SolutionsDevelop automation scripts using REXX, JCL, CLIST, Ansible to streamline processes and improve efficiency.Improve monitoring, job scheduling, and overall system management.Automate repetitive tasks to reduce manual errors and increase productivity.Disaster Recovery & Business ContinuityImplement and test disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.Maintain Parallel Sysplex and failover configurations to minimize downtime.Knowledge Sharing & DocumentationMaintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation and best practices.Mentor junior team members and share knowledge to promote skills development.
