Senior Backend Developer RoleWe are seeking an accomplished Senior Backend Developer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for owning end-to-end eligibility verification workflows integrating with Stedi Healthcare APIs and SFTP systems.Core Responsibilities:Develop, implement, and maintain real-time and batch eligibility verification workflowsCreate Azure Functions for 270/271 generation, parsing, and orchestrationImplement Service Bus queues/topics, retries, and dead-letter handlingDesign and develop T-SQL stored procedures, member matching, and eligibility cachingIntegrate with Stedi Healthcare API and SFTP for file orchestrationEnsure HIPAA-compliant handling of PHI (logging, access, encryption)Write unit and integration tests and participate in code reviewsRequired Skills and Qualifications:Healthcare EDI:At least 3 years of experience with X12 270/271 eligibility transactionsStrong knowledge of eligibility request/response, AAA errors, and payer rulesFamiliarity with 834 enrollment files is a plusAzure Development:Minimum 5 years of backend engineering experienceAt least 2 years of experience with Azure Functions, Service Bus, Azure SQL, Storage, and Key VaultExperience with Application Insights and Managed IdentitiesProgramming Languages:C# (.NET 6/7/8)T-SQL (performance tuning and stored procedures)Python or PowerShell is a plusIntegration Skills:REST APIs and JSON transformationsSFTP workflows and webhook event processingSecurity:Understanding of HIPAA, PHI handling, encryption, and audit logging
