Job Title: Backend Software EngineerWe're building the future of social investing, empowering retail investors with a platform that combines the best of social networks and investing tools.About Us:Our mission is to empower people to make better financial decisions, building an inclusive community for everyone to learn and take control of their finances together.Position Summary:You'll play a pivotal role in scaling our services to handle user growth, architecting and implementing backend solutions for scalability, performance, and reliability.Lead high-volume, low-latency backend service development and scaling.Own end-to-end delivery of critical backend initiatives - from design and implementation to production rollout and monitoring.Architect robust, scalable systems and improve our microservices framework.Ensure system reliability, efficiency, and redundancy, including disaster recovery strategies and data integrity.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align backend features with user demands and overall business goals.Mentor junior developers and lead by example in coding, process refinement, and architectural decisions.Optimize existing systems for maximum speed and scalability through rigorous testing and profiling.Spearhead innovations in data security, including enhanced protocols for user data protection and compliance with global standards.Required Skills & Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.4+ years of experience in backend development, with a proven track record in scalable systems.Expertise in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.Extensive experience with cloud services and serverless architectures.Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.Strong database management skills with both SQL and NoSQL databases.Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, and the ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.What We Value:We value ownership, curiosity, and collaboration.
