The Structural Engineer plays a pivotal role in designing, analyzing and overseeing the construction of structural elements within food and beverage manufacturing facilities.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and review structural components for new facilities, expansions and equipment installations.Perform detailed structural analysis and load calculations for buildings, mezzanines, pipe racks and utility supports.Prepare and validate construction drawings, specifications and bill of quantities (BOQs) in coordination with civil and architectural teams.Ensure compliance with local building codes, food industry standards and safety regulations to maintain quality and efficiency.Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress and adherence to design specifications.Collaborate closely with project managers, equipment vendors and contractors during planning and execution phases to drive projects forward.Support feasibility studies, cost estimation and risk assessments for structural scopes to inform strategic business decisions.Maintain accurate documentation for audits, approvals and internal governance to ensure regulatory compliance.Qualifications & SkillsBachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.A minimum of 5–10 years of experience in structural design and construction within the food, beverage or FMCG manufacturing sectors.Proficiency in STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD, Revit and MS Project is essential.Licensed Structural Engineer or equivalent certification is highly preferred.Demonstrated strong analytical, design and project coordination skills, as well as knowledge of hygiene and food-grade construction practices, are highly valued.
