Job Description:We are seeking a seasoned SolarWinds Automation professional to spearhead the optimization and automation of our SolarWinds platform. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual with a strong understanding of the SolarWinds Orion suite, PowerShell Development, and experience in maintaining and troubleshooting the platform. Required Skills and Qualifications: Administer and Maintain SolarWinds Orion Platform: Proficiency in managing and maintaining the SolarWinds Orion platform, including NPM, NCM, SAM, VNQM, and other modules. PowerShell Scripting Expertise: Ability to develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automating SolarWinds tasks such as node onboarding/offboarding, alert suppression or muting during maintenance windows, custom alert/report generation, and distribution to SolarWinds–ServiceNow integration enhancements. Custom Monitoring Logic and Integrations: Experience in implementing custom monitoring logic, automated diagnostics, and integrations via Orion API, SWIS, and REST endpoints. Collaboration and Communication: Strong collaboration skills to work with stakeholders to understand automation needs and deliver solutions that support observability workflows. Tool Development and Maintenance: Ability to build tools and utilities to support monitoring self-service, reporting automation, and configuration validation. Multi-Vendor Environment Management: Experience in managing custom Pollers, SNMP configurations, and agentless/agent-based monitoring across multi-vendor environments. SWQL and SQL Query Optimization: Skill in designing and optimizing SWQL and SQL queries to support reports and custom dashboards for tailored views. alert Logic, Escalation Policies, and Notification Integrations: Ability to configure and maintain alert logic, escalation policies, and notification integrations (e.g., with ServiceNow, email, Teams). Incident Triage and Root Cause Analysis: Participation in incident triage and root cause analysis, leveraging SolarWinds logs and metrics. Security Posture Maintenance: Responsibility for maintaining security posture of the application, including RBAC, SNMPv3, and audit logging. Kanban Board Tasks and Documentation: Contribution to and maintenance of Kanban board tasks and documentation related to SolarWinds projects and issues.
