We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our team and play a crucial role in expanding our client base, building relationships, and driving new business growth in the recruitment sector.


Role Overview:

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving the growth of the recruitment agency by identifying new business opportunities, establishing relationships with potential clients, and maintaining relationships with existing clients. The BDM will work closely with the senior leadership team and recruitment consultants to help expand the agency’s portfolio, ensuring a high level of service and client satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development:
  • Identify, target, and acquire new clients by actively networking and prospecting within your designated market.
  • Generate leads and convert them into profitable business relationships.
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to meet revenue targets and growth objectives.
  • Monitor competitor activity and industry trends to identify new business opportunities.
  • Maintain and build strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers within client organizations.
  • Client Relationship Management:
  • Act as the main point of contact for key clients and stakeholders, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
  • Regularly meet with clients to understand their recruitment needs, challenges, and goals.
  • Collaborate with recruitment consultants to ensure the best-fit candidates are presented to clients.
  • Manage and resolve any issues or concerns that arise during the recruitment process.
  • Sales & Revenue Growth:
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Drive the development of new business opportunities, from initial contact through to contract negotiation and closure.
  • Manage pricing proposals, contracts, and service agreements in collaboration with legal and operations teams.
  • Market Research & Strategy:
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, client needs, and competitor activities.
  • Develop strategic initiatives to build the company’s brand and grow market share in the recruitment sector.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and networking activities to increase visibility and generate leads.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork:
  • Work closely with internal teams, including recruitment consultants, marketing, and operations, to ensure the smooth delivery of services.
  • Provide feedback to recruitment consultants regarding client needs and preferences.
  • Assist with candidate sourcing and matching, as needed, to support the recruitment process.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience:
  • Proven track record of success in business development or sales, ideally within the recruitment or staffing industry.
  • Strong understanding of the recruitment lifecycle and industry trends.
  • Experience working with senior-level decision-makers and developing lasting client relationships.
  • Skills:
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong networking abilities and the capacity to build rapport with clients, candidates, and industry professionals.
  • Strategic thinking with a results-driven mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar).
  • Education:
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, human resources, or a related field is preferred.
