Your Role:

As an ESG Analyst, you'll be at the forefront of sustainable investing, contributing to Our Client’s mission of creating a positive impact through their investments. You'll work closely with Our Client’s Impact & ESG Department to:

  • Assess ESG risks: Evaluate the environmental, social, and governance practices of their portfolio companies, identifying potential risks and opportunities.
  • Measure impact: Quantify the positive contributions of their investments to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), using rigorous metrics and frameworks.
  • Drive change: Collaborate with their portfolio companies to implement sustainable practices, fostering positive change within their operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth ESG assessments of portfolio companies, including on-site visits, interviews, and analysis of financial and operational data.
  • Develop and implement ESG scoring and rating methodologies to assess the performance of portfolio companies.
  • Collect, analyze, and manage ESG data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Support investor engagement and reporting, preparing comprehensive ESG reports and responding to investor inquiries.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate ESG considerations into investment decision-making processes.
  • Conduct research on emerging ESG trends, regulations, and best practices, identifying opportunities and challenges.
  • Contribute to ESG-related content, such as blogs, presentations, and thought leadership pieces.


Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, such as sustainability, finance, or environmental studies.
  • 2-4 years of experience in ESG or sustainability roles within financial institutions or consultancies.
  • Strong analytical and writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ideally Power BI.
  • Excellent English language skills, with proficiency in additional international languages a plus.
  • Passion for sustainability and a desire to make a positive impact.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • A results-oriented mindset and a proven track record of delivering on goals.
