Primary Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimising the AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring its security, efficiency, and scalability. Your leadership skills will be crucial as you lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. You'll provide hands-on guidance and support for the development and execution of DevOps initiatives, leveraging your technical expertise in Kubernetes, cloud technologies, and programming languages to drive the development of efficient solutions. Staying informed about emerging technologies and industry trends will be key, allowing you to integrate relevant advancements into the team's strategy.
Your strategic planning abilities will come into play as you develop and communicate a roadmap for the team's projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Defining and tracking Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) will be essential to measure the team's success and contributions. You'll drive the team's success by setting high standards, encouraging innovation, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams will be crucial to ensure alignment with overall organizational objectives.
As a liaison between the DevOps team and other departments, your stakeholder management skills will be critical in establishing and maintaining effective communication. Moreover, you'll take on the responsibility of providing reliable production and operational support to engineering teams, promptly troubleshooting and resolving issues to minimize downtime and ensure a stable production environment.
Desired Skills and Experience:
~ 8+ years of overall experience in infrastructure. We are seeking an individual with proven expertise in effectively managing AWS cloud infrastructure, demonstrated success in leading and managing a team of DevOps engineers
~ A strong background and hands-on experience in Kubernetes, cloud technologies, and programming languages
~ Your strategic planning skills, including experience in creating and executing roadmaps and OKRs, will be valuable.
~ A results-driven approach, effective communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
~ Proven experience in providing reliable production and operational support in a dynamic environment are also desired attributes.
