Job Title: Senior Mortgage UnderwriterWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mortgage Underwriter to join our team.The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4+ years of experience in US mortgage underwriting, with sound knowledge of US Residential mortgage and exposure to underwriting processes & guidelines.Candidate must analyze and calculate qualifying income from salaried various tax documents such as 1040s, Schedule E, 1065, 1120, 1120S, K1, transcripts, etc.They should be well-versed with FNMA, FHLMC, and knowledge of GNMA and investor guidelines is an additional benefit.Additionally, the candidate must have good analytical and problem-solving skills, decision-making skill when applying in business judgment, and evaluate complete loan documents to provide approval or denial decisions.Furthermore, they will complete review of credit report to verify trade lines, derogatory accounts, public records and credit reconciliation.Thorough income calculation – Salaried income, business income, retired other income and rental income is also required.Complete review of Collateral and property valuation, assets verification include borrower's bank account statement, retirement accounts, mutual funds and other investments.Credit analysis based on borrower's Income, Asset, Liability and Collateral (4C's of Underwriting) to determine the credit worthiness of a customer.Validating and processing the Loan documents on behalf a Mortgage lender organization.Evaluating evidence of borrower's willingness and ability to repay the obligation.
